General Description of MyGate Vendor Fill Rate
How MyGate Calculates Vendor Fill Rate Suppose a vendor sells two items (item A and item B) to your company : Focus Forecasting(r) forecasts that you will sell 100 per week to your customers of each item. You have 100 of item A and only 80 of item B. That means next week you can ship 100 of A and 80 of B. If you can ship 180 out of 200 ordered , then the MyGate fill rate is 90%. To calculate the MyGate vendor dollar fill rate , use the same example but calculate the fill rate in extended dollars. The beauty of this fill rate calculation is that it has not yet occurred. You and your vendor still have a chance for improvement before the fill rate becomes a historic fact.
